Gagasi FM Youth In Business – Empowering KZN Youth One Business at a Time

Recently, Gagasi FM marked a momentous occasion as under its Geleza Ne Gagasi #AdoptASchool initiative, it partnered with the Hollywood Foundation to deliver a much-needed facility upgrade to Nhlanhleni Primary School in Howick. The joint effort aimed to address the inadequate sanitation facilities at the school, ensuring a healthier and more dignified learning environment for the kids. This collaborative initiative serves as a mark to the power of public-private partnerships in driving positive change within the Howick local community.

As this important handover commenced, The Uprising which is hosted by their very own Felix Hlophe and Minnie Ntuli broadcasted live from Nhlanhleni, with their adorable co-host’s, Yolanda and Kwandabathandwa, who they call [abashana]. Elevate Vodcast host, Khulekani Mbambo was the MC for the day. They then received a warm welcome by Nhlanhleni Primary School’s principal, followed by a Miss Bongeka Mkhize, a teacher at the school, who nominated Nhlanhleni for their #AdoptASchool initiative. Their Head of Commercial Hub, Pinky Mnyeni followed with an depth motivation to the kids, and she also stated why was it important for Gagasi FM to adopt Nhlanhleni Primary. Minnie Ntuli then increased the energy at the assembly, with a cheering song with a tagline “I’m somewhere in the future’’.

The Importance of Adequate Sanitation Facilities for Nhlanhleni Primary School:

Gagasi FM believes that having access to clean and functional sanitation facilities is essential for promoting hygiene, health, and overall well-being among the kids of Nhlanhleni Primary School. By addressing this pressing issue at Nhlanhleni Primary School, Gagasi FM and the Hollywood Foundation are championing the rights of children to receive quality, and a hygienic environment.

The station also didn’t arrive empty handed, kiddie’s refreshments were distributed among the kids, while a hearty meal was being prepared for the parents which attended this important handover.

This handover in partnership with Hollywood Foundation, serves as a mark towards Gagasi’s commitment to community upliftment. The station looks forward to continued collaborations for the betterment of the communities in KwaZulu-Natal.
